OffShore

OffShore Vessel Support and Salvage

BASE 4 Aviation has a long and successful history of off shore operations dating back to 2001 where we provided off shore vessel support for a diamond mining operation in Namibia. Since then, our operations have included off shore service in South Africa, Mozambique, Madagascar and the Antarctic. These services include passenger and cargo transportation, search-and-rescue (SAR), salvage and casualty evacuation.

BASE 4 is a leader in helicopter transport of personnel to offshore production platforms and drilling rigs and has earned its reputation as a leading civilian supplier of search and rescue services. As part of its commitment BASE 4 is pursuing a strategy to continually upgrading and renewing its helicopter fleet, ensuring that its clients benefit from helicopter transportation using the latest technologies to ensure the safety of their employees offshore. This is especially important as oil and gas companies continue to develop in remote locations and deeper waters.

BASE 4 has led the helicopter transportation industry with several significant safety and technology-related “firsts” that contribute to the company being the premier choice for clients. All aircraft are both multi-engine and Single Engine all equipped with emergency flotation for increased safety. BASE 4 has specialized in offshore operations and built its expertise around this very demanding type of flying.

Our Mission is to provide worldwide offshore helicopter services that are unsurpassed in safety and customer satisfaction. We are a team dedicated to continuous improvement in an environment that promotes trust, personal growth, and mutual respect.

Insurance

All our helicopters carry $5 million US Dollar 3rd party insurance per helicopter. All our machines are maintained by our own Engineering department also servicing a wide range of other machines in the General Cape Town Area. Copies of our insurance can be supplied on request.
